McCook’s Own Angelina Cruse Competing for People’s Choice at Nebraska State Fair

McCook has a rising star, and she’s ready for your vote!

McCOOK Neb. — Fifteen-year-old Angelina Cruse is one of the finalists in the Galaxy of Stars People’s Choice competition at the Nebraska State Fair — and she’s representing McCook with her powerful vocals and big dreams.

“I’ve been singing since I could talk,” Angelina said, pushing herself to get better every day. A sophomore-to-be at McCook High School, she’s the daughter of Courtney and Robert Wagner. Angelina recently took the stage at the Coyote Country Music Showdown in McCook, where she wowed the crowd and earned her spot in this statewide talent contest.

Galaxy of Stars was founded in Nebraska in 1993 to give singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and other performers a platform to “Dream, Believe & Achieve.” The People’s Choice Award is open to all finalists from both the Virtual Video Contest and Local Contests — but you can only vote once.

Angelina is currently sitting in eighth place with about 4% of the votes, so she’s calling on her hometown for support.
